On August 25th, Senator John McCain, ex-POW and "maverick" died from glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. Senator McCain will forever be remembered for his tremendous courage throughout his life and against this deadly disease.
Like pancreatic cancer, glioblastoma has no cure and few treatments. Senator McCain was diagnosed last July after doctors discovered an glioblastoma multiformae tumor while performing an operation to remove a blood clot. Last year, McCain was undergoing regular treatment while keeping up with his duties as a senator. In December, he began receiving treatments at his home in Arizona.
Senator John McCain will forever be remembered as a patriot and an American hero. We honor his legacy.
“Americans Never Quit. We never surrender. We never hide from history. We Make History.” -Senator John McCain
